About MIchelle Dokka

MichelleReneeDokka is a pianist, organist, choral director, and music teacher who offers a combination of online and face-to-face instruction.  In addition to piano lessons, she teaches Music at Holy Cross School in South Portland, and is the Music Director at  St. Bartholomew's Church in Cape Elizabeth at St. John Paul II Parish.  She holds a degree in music from Georgia State University, Musikgarten Early Childhood Certification, and a Certificate of Sacred Music from Wesleyan Sacred Music Institute.  Prior to moving to Southern Maine in 2018 Michelle was active in Performing Arts in the Ellsworth and Bangor area where she lived for 18 years.  She served as Music Director for Grand Theatre Summer Camps, Musical Theatre Accompanist at Maine Summer Youth Music Program, and worked with Ellsworth High School's Treble Show Choir.  


Michelle lives in Biddeford with her dog Meagen and cat David Bowie.  She is proud of her three grown children Hayden, Connor and Aliza, and her two amazing granddaughters Lilah and Brynlee.  When she is not teaching or playing music, you can usually find her walking on the beach or immersed in a book.
